[Webinar] New Proposal 65 Warning Requirements for Cannabis and Hemp Derived Products – March 10, 10:00 am – 11:30 am PT | Farella Braun + Martel LLP

March 10, 2021

10:00 am – 11:30 am PT

California Proposition 65 requires “clear and reasonable” warnings for products that contain chemicals on the state’s list of substances to cause cancer and / or reproductive toxicity. As of January 2021, THC has been a listed chemical that requires a warning, and the listing for marijuana smoke has changed. Manufacturers, distributors and retailers of cannabis and hemp products (including CBD) are responsible for evaluating their products and ensuring compliance with the updated requirements of Proposition 65. Discuss with us:

  • Prop 65 requirements for retailers and upstream businesses
  • New THC and revised marijuana smoke warning requirements
  • Compliance with regulations through regular or short warnings
  • Strategies for responding to 60 days of notification to a public enforcement officer of Prop. 65 violation and intent to file a lawsuit
