Cannabis company grows with Vernon plant
Avant Brand’s latest project includes a 60,000 square meter extension facility
A 60,000 square meter cannabis plant is growing in Vernon.
Avant Brands, a leading manufacturer of cannabis products, announced that its joint venture, 3PL Ventures, has been granted standard cultivation, processing and medicinal sales licenses in accordance with the Cannabis Act and Regulations of Health Canada.
“The licensing of 3PL is an important milestone in our continued growth strategy as we keep pace with demand for our award-winning products,” said Norton Singhavon, Founder and CEO of Avant Brands. “We expect the joint venture to play a critical role in meeting growing demand by bringing new and unique strains to our flagship leisure brands in Canada and supporting our international export strategy.”
With a production capacity of 6,000 kilograms, the Vernon site is currently the largest cultivation company within the Avant group of companies. It will add over 50 more rare and unique strains that Avant says are not currently believed to be available in Canada’s legal cannabis market.
Avant also has facilities in Chase and Kelowna at Tumbleweed Farms and GreenTec BioPharm, respectively.
